Translocal Express. Jubilee Edition is a next step in series of Public Preparation events organized in collaboration with Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven as a parallel project of Be[com]ing Dutch. The 3-day hybrid-format event will critically analyze growing nationalist athmosphere in the margins of New Europe and touch postcolonial theory in one, and nationalist rhetorics cultivated by EU at the other hand. Artists, while being especially mobile nowadays in the structure of contemporary art, map, analize and criticise intensively issues like national identity, multicultural society and problematics of migration in their practice. Translocal Express. Jubilee Edition will try to turn attention to alternative ways to think about society in the era of global capitalism as a counter-perspective to narrow nationalist mindsets.
